This is one of the simplest objects that one can view in the night sky. Our ancestors used these points of light in the sky to help them understand the world around them. They helped them navigate and discover distant lands. They helped them understand the seasons and how to survive.
The display of these stars also led to the creation of constellations and asterisms as a way to make sense of the vast collections of points of light.
A star has a life of it's own. Some are born and explode into a beautiful death. Some are average (like our sun) and will continue to provide light for a long time to come. Still others struggle to make it at all.
Stars come in many different shapes, sizes, and magnitude.
